NONAME (EP) Review

NONAME was my first real foray into an indie / singer-songwriter type of project. I believe I started working on it in September 2024, right after I scrapped my album Praise Me. At the time, I was still in a relationship, so the project holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

On this project, I explore themes of reinvention, love, loss, and resisting the urge to fall back into my old self. Creating it helped me grow into the person I am today and shaped the kind of art I want to make moving forward.

There are definitely similar vibes on in:focus, but NONAME still stands as its own project.

SP2025 Review

SP2025 is the debut album from rapper Soft Pretzels. It mixes old but familiar sounds from the likes of Earl Sweatshirt and Kanye West. I might be a little biased because I mixed this project and have a feature, but here are my full, unfiltered thoughts about this project. I think this album is good but lacks some character. I'm guilty of this too, but it's trying to replicate something that's already been established and not carving out its own path. I just would like to see more individuality.

Now, here are some positives. The musicality has been greatly improved from singles and projects past. My personal favorite track is P DONT PLAY, and my least favorite is AFTER THE RAIN.
